  • About StrideForSkills

The Lighthouse Project supports children and young people to build skills, confidence, and shape aspiration beyond the classroom—putting early support and opportunity at the heart of all we do!

We aim to equip children and young people with a broader skillset alongside their day-to-day schooling , building confidence in future options and raising aspirations that will enable meaningful progress in their personal and academic lives.

The Lighthouse Project functions alongside the school day (referral only) and as an after-school club, combining fun, engaging activities with meaningful skill development.

We champion inclusion, creativity, skills development, and wellbeing, creating opportunities and shaping environments where young people are encouraged and empowered to achieve all they put their minds to.

Who the LightHouse Project is for?

The Lighthouse Project is for children and young people ready to explore, create, and grow through meaningful learning experiences beyond the school day.

It is designed for those who:

  • Want to explore their curiosity and try new ideas
  • Develop confidence and independence through hands-on, creative learning
  • Build skills early that will support future learning and pathways
  • Think creatively and solve problems in practical, engaging ways
  • Shape their own aspirations and start to imagine what’s possible for their future

We place extra emphasis on supporting children who may face additional challenges, such as those at risk, with low school attendance, or in care. Through tailored guidance and opportunities, we help them overcome barriers, strengthen resilience, and build positive outcomes early.

Through our bespoke enrichment programmes, the Lighthouse Project empowers all young people to take ownership of their learning, gain new experiences, and grow in confidence, skills, and ambition.

We celebrate every young person’s strengths and work alongside families, schools, and communities to create supportive, inspiring learning experiences.
